Better?

They sanded it down a bit...but it still looks totally weird to me, and doesn't feel good under your hand. I just don't know what to do..the contractor seems to think it's great. Anybody???However the top is done and looks nice....

    Did they explain why it was done like that??? Was the banister too short or something??? Why is the angle like that??

    Actually the piece with the swoop was really long and pretty...they just decided to cut it in a very odd way. But really...are we surprised?
