During the tomato lull

I've started to pay attention to the rest of the vegetables. The butternut squash vines have left the raised bed and are taking over the yard:
The latest count has reached 20--all I can say is thank goodness they can be stored.
And so far...7 melons! This one should be ready this week, and our first:

Isn't it cute?

  1. I came over from Design Sponge after seeing your amazing house! It's so beautiful and so full of love :)

This pic is a sharp contrast from your previous post sans grown up plants, I think you have definitely achieved the overgrown country look ;)

and so incredibly jealous of your ability to have a garden, the hubby and I live in a studio apartment :/

  2. Thank you so much!!
I have to admit, I lived in a 300sq' studio apt for 18yrs before moving to this place, and the garden is all a complete experiment..there have been many failures, and just too much to know!! That's why I'm so darn smug when anything actually grows. :)
