The First Four

What you're looking at from top left:
Yellow Pear, Tie-Dye Hybrid, Black Krim, and Honey Bunch.
There are still 3 more types to come...unripe, and untasted....

Strangely a propos...

Sent by my friend David who found it on his sister-in-law's fridge.

Ok, Ok! Just one more!

Until the tomatoes arrive, anyway.....

Just look at the shine on that baby!

New from Virginia

Long sought after mirror for the mantle (after the cats broke the last one)
What trip out of town would be complete without a mad afternoon of frenzied salvage/antiquing?

And another one

Tricky thing was hiding...but it did not escape the sautee pan.
Delicious.

Pretty, ain't it?

The mosquito bites were worth it.

The digging is over but every now and then when I go out to the yard to do some weeding something new is just sitting on top of the soil. I hear that when it rains things rise to the top...but I only half believe it. Yesterday I saw this button, stuck it in my pocket (thinking it was Levis or something) and forgot all about it.
Tonight I cleared as much corrosion from it as I could and saw that it reads Brooklyn Police!

Meanwhile, here is one I found online on Worthpoint that's all bright and shiny:

Apparently before 1898 Brooklyn had it's own police force before really joining New York City, and these are old uniform buttons...
Yowser.
